Default Sanctuary Cove - This Weekend

Anybody up for a cold drive to Sanctuary Cove this coming Sunday?

At least the start time is now user friendly

As the car has been tucked up in its winter woolies (with boot nearly refurbished) I though it was time I took it out for a winter sun drive.

Hi Peter. I'll be there for sure! Do you know that it's at the new venue?

Won't make it this weekend! Those health freeeek Marathon runners are circling my little main beach commune and I can't get out! Never mind trying to get back in! Happens every year!

Craig,

Yep - That's why I'm coming - to try the new food!!

The better half will there with her camera. Will get a few shots up on here afterwards

Matt,

Yes I heard that the running was on - No doubt Warren won't be there either as he will be looking to break his PB around Surfers

Well you could leave the Cobra at a club members house and leave the daily driver out.

We also have to leave a car out overnight, around the corner, down the street so we can make the July breakfast each year. Pretty cool to be woken by the sounds of hundreds of pounding feet.

QLD Club Breakfast details. Great new location and much later starting time: http://www.cobracarclubqld.org.au/Ca...astMeeting2007

Yeah that cold front is coming through. It'll be way to cold to drive the Cobra up in Far North Queenlsand. Maybe 14-16 degrees! Sun will be out, no rain about and freezing conditions.

Getting down to 5 degrees here BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

A few degrees cooler and we could have snow!!!!

I might as well be back in the motherland - 24 degrees during the day - Summer is here along with the floods and 40 degree heatwave in Europe.

What a lovely world we live in - Changing or what

Hi All,

Just got off the phone to our new venue for future Cobra Breakfast Meetings, at Sanctuary Cove.

Signatures Restaurant, at the Recreation Club
,and they’re all ready for us on Sunday Morning....8-30a.m. onwards.

I would love to see the big roll up , similar to that of last month,
where we had 145 “plus” in attendance.

ABSOLUTELY AWESOME !!

Easy to find our new venue, as you enter Sanctuary Cove, you take the usual left turn at the big Security Hut/Roundabout, and the new place is only about 100 metres further .

We will have a sign out again to assist with any lost or frozen sheep.

With 145 attending, and an expected crowd of "maybe" 115-120, we had a couple of small delays with the service, but I’ve had discussions with the management, and we've sorted it all out perfectly, and now have made all arrangements to handle the crowd.
(Two separate Food service areas, more staff, etc. etc. etc.)

Looking forward to seeing everyone.

Regards,

Warren Boylan,
Pres.

Blair,
You must have missed the bad weather for once and got a good patch. Last week saw 9 degrees max and the wettest June in history for Townsville, as well as the darkest in terms of daily sunlight.

I'm thinking of moving to New Guinea

Really enjoyed the ride in your new cobra, can't seem to get the smile off my face.

I'm coming down again for the breakfast and to finalise my cobra with Warrick Harrison

See you all there.

Col Hodson
