Talking Slowy's start up movie

Guys

Sorry for the poor quality, acting and viewing quality, but had to do this filming on the movie function on the still camera to be able to get it onto the computer. Need to learn how to edit as well, but it's a beggining.

Engine sounds like crap but in reality very pleased with the exhaust note and it is only 2dB above limit when measured outside the shed, so only a few pot scrubbers will be needed.

Also had just put in the Odyssey battery which cranks a treat so double pleased.

Will post some cockpit shots once the sparky has finished and the dash is in properly.

Enjoy and cheers

Thanks guys, it doesn't look too bad on u-Tube but the sound doesn't do it justice.

If I can manage to get the out-laws proper digital video to download to the computer, I am sure the quality can be heaps better.

Wouldn't mind posting an audio file of the exhaust note, as to my untrained ear it still sounds good.

As I said previously, only a few pot scrubbers are needed to get it to legal noise level, currently 92dBA by my measurement, so am very happy with that exhaust result.

I am looking forward to a legal drive now!!

Ciao

Well done mate I can't wait till I experience that....

You seem to be placing a lot of blame for the sound quality on your recording equipment.... The crappy sound wouldn't be due to the blue oval engine would it????

Excellent stuff Slowy. I know how happy you must be right now. Not much further and you'll be down seeing Bernie to get your engineers report signed off.

Cheers

If you can get an engine sound like the one on the site UTube that I posted earlier Stephen, it would be terrific. It is a great sound track! Probably not legal, however.

Congratulations Slowy,

It is such a buzz to hear your car come alive for the first time.
Keep up the good work.

Ross

PS did you see my response to your question about the idler pulley?

Thanks again guys.

Just catching up on all the posts as I'm just back from 2 days up the snow with our primary school.

Ross I did see the pulley details. I'll work on this one much later in the re-build.

Bobby it all sounds like music to me irrespective of the source producing the note!

Merv don't know of the post but am guessing a highly modified set up. I need to stay stock for engineering at present.

Cheers
