Default Performance driving courses

Okay Guys,

My car is nearly ready to drive so I thought it would good if someone showed me how to drive it properly.

It would also like to do some track days.

Does anyone know who run courses in Melbourne.

I would also like to look into getting my Cams Licence.

How do I find out when and where track days are being held.

RODA

Hi Rod,

You have brought up a good point, as I'm not aware if the Cobra Club in Victoria have ever had a track training day.

Perhaps we may organise one at Calder Park raceway, as it is still open for day hire.

May be a good idea to bring that up at a meeting.

I'm not able to make meetings as often as I would like, but I do know that the club runs some great events and participates in the Nationals and the Shelby Fest. So there may be some interest.

I know a few good drivers that could ride with and explain the car and the track. In fact even the some of club members could do that.

I'll talk to the committee to gauge their interest. Follow up yourself if interested.

Great idea.

Sherrin Motorsport has been a popular choice up here in QLD lately. Chief instructor is Paul Stokell.

No idea in Vic, but you could always contact Sherrin and see if they have anyone they recommend down there.

Personally I would just find a training course that suits your needs and budget and just book it yourself. Then let other club members know the details and how to book themselves. A lot easier than going to the trouble of organising a dedicated club day.

QLD club has done both club only driver training days and lately a few training days where they just jump onto an existing planned course.

Wazza(Our President) just completed one with Sherrin last weekend. So maybe he can chime in with his thoughts.

First of all find a big carpark .

1,Select first or second , hold the revs ata bout 4000 and drop the clutch
2, Do they same with the steering slightly turned to the right
3, Do they same with the steering slightly to the left
4, try it once on full lock back of on the revs when it does the first 360

5, Look at joinning a sporting car club once you do that you can apply for a club lic (cams)

Have fun and dont bend it
