Default New Kit for the shed

Not exactly cobra related but I guess being (mostly) boys we like shed's and the stuff in 'em.

And I will be using this for my upcoming heart transplant.

Anyway - its your usual bleak winter Saturday in Melbourne.

Q: What to do...

A: Put up a gantry (naturally)

First you need some posts.

Then you need a whopping I beam (watch your toes)

Bit of a hand to lift it up

Jiggle it round 'til you find the spot

Dangle things

The nice people at the engineering shop even lent the big-ass drill to make the holes for the bolting down of the posts and supplied the amazing glue/cement mix to secure the bolts in the floor.

Looking forward to hanging my 347 from that thing.

LoBelly, have you not seen the picture of my pitiful little shed? I'd say you were showing off if I wasn't simply in awe!

Well done on the effort and good luck with the transplant.

(notice I am avoiding a dig at those heavy dinosaur Ford engines)

Thanks Sambo

It's the brother's shed but I get to use it - built the cobra in there and it was a great facility to have, my own shed is closer to yours. Now its pay-back time so I'm helping on the boat.

Fortunately the gantry has 2 x 2ton hoists to lift the 347. The ford engines need that weight to pin 'em down a bit with all the torque they produce (unlike the talk from LS crew - very lightweight )

Haha - touche!

Unfortunately I have two sisters - and you reckon they've got a shed to lend me?

Sambo,

You could use their sewing room for instrument work, and the wiring looms
