Back in the saddle.
The car is now painted and finally got a chance to give it a run on the weekend.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JZivl-yui-Y The light was fadeing so you cannot see the paint colour and stripes real well. Phil |
Perfect timing, Phil. Can't wait to see it in the flesh.
Richard |
And they say a picture tells a thousand words! How far over 95db would that be? Sounds awesome Phil.
Listen carefully - about 30 secs into the video you can just hear somebody telling their kid to get off the road, right before you give it a poke. :) |
Noise
It is fairly noisy,
The idle is up to high, it is reasonable when you are short shifting arround. Yeah, that is my teenage kids showing sibling love as usual. Phil |
Wow - Looks amazing on the road Phil. And sounds pretty damn good too......for a ford :D
|
Let this be a lesson to you Southerners.
This is what happens when you visit Queensland and get ya butt spanked. ;) You end up going home for a complete rebuild to find some extra Gee gees.  only kiddin :3DSMILE: |
buuudifulll !!!
:D :D :D
How sweet that sounds JUST like a FORD :3DSMILE: :3DSMILE: :3DSMILE: |
Must admit it does sound sweet. :)
|
Looking and sounding good... :)
Looking forward to some nice "light" shots to see the new paint job!!! |
Phil
Looks great on the road...good to condition the neighbours to the Cobra |
Better Pic
Here is a better pic of how the paint looks, it is still hard to see the full effect, the cameras don't pick it up properly.
http://www.clubcobra.com/photopost/d...f_P1090662.JPG The car is to be featured in Street Machine soon, we had the Photo shoot last night. Now that is a very long a boring process. The photographer is the same guy that shot the cover in the lastest issue. Phil |
Absolutely beautiful!!!!
Mitzy, you've gone and done it now! You've raised the standards on Cobra paintjobs! It is gorgeous! Can't wait till you get your first chip!  I'll have the camera ready. :D Once again buddy, perfect. As far as engine and sound goes, you've done us Ford folk proud!
Stef ;) |
Gawd!!!! that is just......What are those things....skulls?
And you call us darksiders. That's the most dark, most....most....I'm lost for words!....no wonder on the video the kids were warned to get off the bluddy road!! Seriously Phil, that is just simply amazing mate. Talk about lifting the bar. Hey, are you gonna be afraid of scratching that on the track?. and... When are ya gonna wipe those finger prints off the bonnet?. I keep checking back and they're still there. :3DSMILE: |
Absolutely mint!!!
|
Have you noticed what the skull is crunch on in Phils Avatar? Cheeky little bugger aint he.
Nice to see a photo Phil that comes close to doing it justice. :) |
Ford Power
Les,
This part was inspired by your deflection to the dark side. http://www.clubcobra.com/photopost/d...m/P1090688.JPG Thanks For the comments, the paint is something you have to experience first hand to get the full effect. Phil |

Phil, I'm gonna send that pic to the GM execs. Expect to hear from their Lawyers. ;) Mate, How long did it take the artist to airbrush those murals? ... amazing, just bluddy amazing. :) |
Message to all Darksiders .....
There is a reason Phil has gone to the expense of these murals. ;) He expects that we are gonna be distracted by checking out these skulls in our mirrors. Don't fall for it. |
Geeez Phil.. What have you done...................... ???
Did you have a difficult childhood??? Or is Karen the influence.... Skulls..... Wo! I have quite a few of those on certain body parts that make removal somewhat of a painful and awkward attraction! Good on ya mate.. Gonna miss giving ya heaps at the Nats.. :-( SpookyPT |
WOW, I'm speechless.
Awesome mate, just awesome. Can't wait to see it in the flesh. :D |
