Default Dark blue colour

Hi all,

I hope you don't mind me jumping on the bandwagon, but the recent thread about the different silver colours has prompted me to ask if anyone is willing to share, or point me to photo's of some dark blue coloured cobras with black accessories.

I have a look in my "minds eye" that I'd love to see if the combination actually works....it's a very dark blue cobra without stripes with a black interior, matt black sidepipes, matt black roll bars....

Regards.....Paul

The combo works, but only on aluminum bodied cars. Below is a link that RichSD posted to his car. I have a similar color blue (BMW Mauritius Blue) but with a polished stainless roll bar. It looks pretty good.

Thanks Lew...

Wow...RichSD's car looks great...Why the comment that it only works on Aluminium bodied cars?

Regards....Paul

I'd certainly recommend my blue (Ford Galaxy Mica) as a shade.

With being a mica it has a purple haze when under fluoro's.

My cockpit is dark grey, but black would look as good if not better.

I have a deep sheen finish, but that may be down to the waxing it has had

Paul and Lew,

I certainly agree that the car in the link you gave, looks great. I am going for a similar look with my Harrison - with either Porsche Midnight Blue or a straight black. If I go for the black, I was thinking of a dark green (close to BRG). I saw that combination in the metal ('glass?) on a Jag C type and it looked fantastic. I agee on the black pipes and roll bar - the 'stealth' look?

Cheers,

Merv

Ok...you got me Lew!

Thanks Peter...I looked through your photo gallery...looks like you've got a lovely car there!

Merv...Do you have a photo of the Porsche Midnight Blue? I too had considered a deep dark green colour, but the BRG examples I've seen have not been as dark as I was thinking...I would like to see examples of some really dark green cobras as well. I had'nt thought about why I've gravitated towards the matt black/no stripes combination...perhaps it is the "stealth look" that attracts me?

Regards....Paul

Hey guys,

Poke around in the Galleries for the Factory Five website.
Look in the Mk3 Roadsters, and you'll find a
Very nice Dark Blue...and an equally nice dark green.

www.factoryfive.com/galleries.html

Regards,

Warren.

Thanks Warren,

Really appreciate your reference to the Factory Five site...I love both the Dark Blue and Dark Green Cobras...great quality photo's as well! I'd love to see both cars in those colours without the stripes just to see what it would look like in the solid colour look.

There's an all Black Cobra in their gallery that looks pretty amazing as well!

Regards......Paul

Better yet on the FFR site.

Go here and select which color forum you want to look at:

http://www.ffcobra.com/ubb/ultimateb...orum/f/22.html

all different color forums ie. the blue is here:

http://www.ffcobra.com/ubb/ultimateb.../t/000112.html

Most with color codes

Cheers

Paul,

The Porsche Midnight Blue is seen at: http://www.democarsales.com/details....=46-1128559433

I have put a couple of pics of black ones on my gallery. The green seats that I liked were a ver British green colour that was not too "green" - had a little brown in there to give that very traditional Bentley style seat colour.

Check my gallery - colour is Nissan Moody Blue - black interior with woodgrain highlights. Blue probably not as dark as you are looking for

OZCOBRA...No, I'm not a printer, I'm in the Oil & Gas game!...Heidelberg is the name of our home that we've just spent 4 years renovating....it's an old 1893 farmhouse called Heidelberg!
