Importing and registration.
A general question that the vast knowledge in here someone might know the answer to?
One of my good mates here in Alice has a mate who is the head chef at one of the larger motel facilities in Dubai (he has 4 Michelin star chefs under him), He is looking to purchase a 2010 Camaro while he is in Dubai (he currently lives there and will be there for some time yet).
He wanted to know what is the go in so far as bringing it back to Australia when he does return?
Will he need to convert to R/H drive?
Or is there an exemption if you have owned the car for X time period whilst living overseas?
When he comes home he will most likely return to Adelaide, if that makes any difference?
I told my mate he is best to get in contact with either Australian customs or the Adelaide MVR.
