Default 2007 Nationals, photos update

Hey all.

Been plugging away at the pics, with the hope of getting entrant portfolios ready within the next few weeks.

Now, here's another one for Pete (acecob).

Just because you'd taken me for a cruise in your beast, I'll let you have another teaser.

Is that fear on your face?

I'll keep everyone posted when I'm all set.

Cheers.

Stephen.

Wow...sharp!

Stephen - you must have some pretty serious glass. Are you and EOS or Nikon man?

At a guess I'd say it's a Nikon D2Xs and a zoom capable of f/2.8. That's pretty "fast" glass.

Ok, so I cheated by looking at the EXIF information.

Spot on Sambo!

Got the new gear especially for the Nationals.

I'd been contemplating turning the hobby into a living someday, so I took the plunge, borrowed some bucks and went on a shopping spree!

Bernie and Tenrocca thanks for the comments.

That backside shot of the Daytona is tremendous. It's funny how seemly innocuous angles give some great pics.

Seen the same effect with dinghy racing pics, where the focus has been less on the boat or crew and more on what I'd call the motion aspect through the sea, waves, spray and wake as indicators of movement and action.

I'll definitely be after pics. of my car once finished, then they'll have to compete for wall space with my boating pics. I reckon I know what will get priority already!

Keep up the happy snapping, there's nothing wrong with the shots I've seen!

Cheers

Ohhhh Daytona.

I dont think there is a bad angle that you could get of one of these cars.

My wife has just told me to sell the Cobra and get one of these Daytona's

Yeah, mine said the same thing.
When I asked why, she said that she'd come for drives more often as she'd not get blown around as much.

I said, Ohhhhh ok, good reason to keep the cobra.

Roughly how much more to build a Daytona? Against say a mid-budget Cobra at around $60k.

Hey guy's, thats the beautiful Superformance Daytona. My good friends at CTC allowed me to drive this car over the Nationals weekend; most generous bunch of Aussies a Kiwi could ever wish to meet.
That car drives as if on tracks but I did have some problems comming to terms with the six speed and rear end under braking (not a car problem just a driver issue)! I hope to be back next year with my SPF! What a fantastic event.

Well driven mate! We can be even more generous now that you guys decided to quit the RWC at the same time as us

G'day BJ.

I knew Pete's sense of humour was going to stir the pot!

I'm still soldiering on with the piccies, however I'm afraid that Pete's giving everyone a bum steer!

It's his none too subtle way of giving me a hurry on!

My apologies for the delays gents, however the boys on this forum will be the first to know when the shots are available.

Steve.
