Most probably it can. Getting traction is one of the biggest problems with these lightweight cars.

How about this burnout I filmed at the 2006 FFR Open house?

Same burnout from the front side.

A datsun 120Y can smoke the tyres.

It takes a real car to put power to the ground.

The colored tires are generally promotion tires the tire people give to events or a car maker to show off.

I mean, How many cars are running around with tires that smoke red when lit-up?

In London I think the tires donated to do this were from Yoko, I can not be sure.

Sitting still at full throttle for over a minute seems abusive and wasteful...but the crowd seemed to like it. I much prefer watching the cars spinning around in circles making smoke like the victors in racing do at the end. Smokey burnouts on acceleration are more entertaining than sitting there with your brakes on while your foots in it. To each his own I guess but until Goodyear starts giving me tires that put out the red smoke I'll keep it on the more conservative side. Good videos though, I did enjoy watching.
