Default Snakebite Talbot mirrors in Melbourne??

Does anyone have the long neck version of the Talbot bullet mirrors Don is selling, down here in Melbourne that I could take a closer look at?

Keen to see generally what the look like and get some idea of how good/bad they work from the normal mounting location.

PM or let me know and I'll organise a visit.

Cheers

Steve

That is what I am contemplating. Have been trialling a ray dot off the screen that Aussie Mike kindly lent me. I think a fluked the set up first time and this mirror certainly provides vision where my rear vision mirror misses. Although I'm running one of thos big XD mirrors so I don't miss too much anyway.

I'm still partial to the more traditional look bullet hence my desire to look closely at one of these mirrors and even sit in the hot seat and see what vision they do afford.

I'd certainly consider your mirror if I end up going in that direction.

So, any Melbournites out there with a mirror I can get a squizz at?

Cheers

George at Python in Ferrars Street/City Road South Melbourne will have them in stock. He is usually reasonably priced with all accessories.

Steve is talking about the 50mm extended base Talbot Bullet mirrors. These are custom made by us out of brass, then chromed. See: http://www.snakebite.com.au/talbotbu...base-p-19.html

Standard mirrors have 25mm high base.

For best visibility Raydot's on the windscreen are the way to go.

I personally prefer the look of the Talbot Bullet mirrors, but it all depends on what you are trying to achieve.
