I used to use Loctite super stud lock on the rocker studs and also put a dob of "anti-tamper" paint on them facing the intake, (so I could see if they were moving).... I did this because a mate of mine with the same motor, (308) used to find loose rocker studs after every meeting.
After using the Loctite we never saw a loose rocker stud again....

Phil,

I've heard of having a few loose in the 'top paddock'... You may have just coined an new one along the lines of 'off yer rocker'

Glad to see there were no seeming long term effects.

Good advice about the stud lock.

Phil, fingers crossed there is no permanent damage/premature wear.
