Nice run Phil.....
The car is quick and seems to have pretty good manners. I'll be happy in the 12 seconds somewhere.
Video is great, nice and clear and very little distortion. Anything special about the camera??

Well done Phil. Not very many QLDers have ever gone that fast in a Cobra.
Hogster, 12 sec pass in a Cobra is certainly more than respectable. We certainly never managed that in the first Cobra.

Camera
The camera is a "Chase Cam"
They are fantastic Pneal let me borrow his and then Karen bought me one for my Birthday.
The Youtube is greatly reduced in quality, the actual footage is much better you can watch it full screen on the TV and t feels like you are in the car.
I think it coped with the low light well.

Very good, and your 60ft time is great for a Cobra. This is an interesting goal to perform like you.

Ther tyres are Mickey thompson ET street radials.

All of the DRB GT40's seem to hit the low 12's very easily...even fairly modest 5lt examples. Don't know how many of gone into the 11's though.
I've been meaning to find out what the fastest GT40 time is. I expect Peter Ransom might have that title as he frequents the drags and has some serious HP.
None of the GT40's I know of up here have run Mickey's.
Don't know of any NA Cobra's in QLD that have gone faster than you Phil.

"Missile Mizzi" is 100% RIGHT.
Hi Phil,
Well done, good to see it all coming together after all the effort.
Hope to get there myself one day soon.
All the best for your Birthday too!!!!

For the ET the Top Speed seems a bit on the low side. I would have expected high 120's. 125 at least. I would think.
Hey it's a great run, well done, just contemplating the numbers and what it all means...
Really good numbers to the 1/8th mile, seems like it falls off a little toward the end run, save the bottle for 3rd or 4th gear. Of course ET is what wins races, just speculating on how to get there quicker.

HI Excaliber
"save the bottle for 3rd or 4th"
Not sure what you mean but I have not used the NOS yet and probably wont untill I get 10.99 or quicker NA.
There is more Top speed, and that is some of the reason for the dyno session, towards the end of the run I flatten off as I am about to hit the rev limiter, to fix that I have set it higher.

Engine specs
HI HVSREDSLED,
The engine is a 4 bolt Dart Iron eagle "302" block with the 4 1/8 inch bore.
The crank is an eagle stroker giving the engine a 369ci capacity.
Forged rods, CP pistions custom ported Dart Pro 1 heads.
Solid roller cam. 1.6 crane rockers.
DC@O 50mm 8 throttle body manifold, 1 3/4 primaries stepped up to 2 inch then in a 4 inch pipe with a 2 1/2 inch perforated tube.
The fuel system is overkill and the engine breath thru the bonnet scoop.
Motec M48 runs the engine and an MSD 6A ingnition for spark.
The static compression is 11.5 to one but some of that is bleed off by the cam.
There is actually not one Ford made part in the engine
I am using V power (shell) but may switch to BP Ulimate.
Phil

Save the bottle for 3rd or 4th. In other words, use the NOS after the 1/8th mile as that seems to be where you really need the power.
As I recall the near stock ET times for a 289 Cobra and a 427 Cobra were both in the low 12's. The 427 was faster, but not by 'that much'. But the top speed (trap speed) of the 427 was significantly higher than the 289. Small blocks wind up fast, good hole shot, good 1/8th mile times, but tend to run out of breath toward the end of the 1/4.
Cars like the "Dragon Snake" 289 Cobra were full on drag race setup with ultra low rear gear ratio (5 something) and did run in the 10's, naturally aspirated!

Why would you put gas on an engine and not use it from start to finish? He may have to not use it on the line to save the drivetrain.
