Shelby Fest rooms

Hi all,

Just for information if you are still thinking about going to the Shelby Fest 2008.


I've been busy with building construction work here and leaving things to the last minute.



Just decided to go to the Shelby Fest.

The good news is that there are still one or two rooms available at the base for the Shelby Fest.


The Gateway Quality Motor Inn has one or two rooms available due to cancellations etc. They can be contacted on 03 57 218 399.

I was a little surprised when I phonned to find the next closest motel and found there was still room at the club base motel...



So will take the GT40 for a run tomorrow - Friday. Look forward to catching up.

I will be there but am not sure if my lift will enable me to buy you the beers as promised. I'll have to make plans in this regard for some travelling willberries I guess.

Obviously not before track work has ceased for competitors and volunteers but is there a track alcohol policy?

Yes think you may be right as she did make mention of cancellations and availability.

Hopefully we have the entire motel booked..

Or there may be grumpy people when we leave at 0700..
