Default Computer Printers ?

A bit out of context but If my printer doesn't work "good" How can I put pictures in my. . ."Big Book of Cobra Pictures" book.
I have a generic inkjet printer and get the cartriges reloaded by stealth.
The last lot was refilled with the wrong colours in the wrong tanks...Brown, green , brown...lovely colours for sepia pics ! I think I may have to buy another printer.................!
Any suggestions ?
Quality would be nice and cartrige refill / replacement price is the decider.
Look forward to suggestions.
I am looking at "choice" etc but experience takes precedence !

Can't go wrong with an HP. (C4180) Mine has a color cartridge and a black cartridge.

I've had 3 Canon printers now, all under $200 and they're awesome. Current printer is the iP4300, it prints well on ordinary A4 paper, does great photos and even inkjet printable CDs and DVDs. Highly recommended.

Default Printers Canon IP4300

The only printers we sell in our shop and it is our choice is the Canon range with multiple ink tanks. The IP 4300 is the prefered printer. As above does it all well.. I use the I865 at home for DVD's etc and the occasional special print. Choice mag gave the Canon IP 5300 the best rap.

Default Ink Cartridges for Canon

The only grief with the Canons is the cost of the ink cartridges. However Resolution have just released a range of No 8's with the chip on the compatible cartridge. Cuts the cost in half.
