Default PRIORITIES.....Where can I fit a hoist????

Help me....I'm losing it!!

I know that being a "Cobraphile" is an all encompassing sickness, and I know I spend WAY too much time messing about with the cars, and not giving my full attention to other mundane activities such as WORK...but I need to face the fact that I might have a SERIOUS dose of "Cobra-itis".

I/we recently bought a small warehouse because we needed more room for our growing business, and I know that I should have been exited about having the room we desperately needed for the business, but all I could think about was...YES.....I CAN GET A HOIST !!!!

Up until now, I had an arrangement with a very kind Warwick Harrison, whereby I could keep the racecar at his COBRA KITS warehouse, and come and grab it whenever I needed it , but this was going to be brilliant being able to keep my race...er...."promotional vehicle" at the new place.

My lovely wife could see no reason why I NEEDED to move the race car over to the new place, but kindly agreed just as long as it was a "clear floor" hoist, and we could move pallets etc. around underneath it through the day.

I had a win !!!

Now....the reason I should admit to the "sickness" is because the FIRST thing I did when we got the new warehouse a couple of weeks ago, was go and get the racecar, and work out where I wanted it...THEN once I was happy with all of that, I then had to work out if it was going to be possible to fit all of the "work stuff" in !!

Luckily....it all fits, and now looking forward to a few club gatherings where I can roll the work stuff out of the way, fill the beer fridge, chuck some snags on the b.b.q. ( another thing we NEEDED at the new place), get the V8 super cars racing on the new plazma ( another thing we NEEDED at the new place ) and get a few of the Cobras over to stick them on the hoist for some general maintenance, and an excuse to get together.

I'm a happy chappy........I've already spent a number of late nights at the new place...music belting out, and tinkering with the cars...it's brilliant!

Now.....

I suppose I'd better get to .....yuck !! Work.

Regards,
Warren.

Poor Wazza

Can only have his hoist if it is a clear floor type - man thats tough.

Next thing you know you'll only be allowed a TV if its a wide screen plasma... you what

Bet you'll be in real trouble if you don't get the leather seats and surround sound to go with it.

Thumbs up

Its well known that he loves to polish things --- next time he's at a show and shine there'll be mirrors underneath the car, so every one can see his polished nuts-- and things
That "plasma " screen will be booked out with Wazzas "replays" or " the best of Wazzas track moments" etc.
In all fairness,--- I think the bar fridge should be an extra large on

Look here Cobraphiles... we are getting a little off topic here.

The question was "Where can I fit a hoist?" with all the creative minds on this board I am astounded that no has provided the obvious answer to the very simple question of exactly where he can stick it !

Sorry, couldn't resist

Frankly Mr Parsons, as chairman of the Beijing Chapter, you should know that we really don't care where the hell he puts it.

Just as long as we can use it, drink some laughing water and watch some TV whilst using the hoist for regular serving of the cars.

In actual fact, I'm really cranky that he hasn't properly addressed the standards for this sort of facility.

He has the hoist
He has the fridge
He has the TV
.
.
But where are the topless waitresses ( note plural)?..... does he presume that we gotta go serve ourselves whilst changing oil or watching TV?.

The hide of the man.....should get his act together.

I've got hoist envy. I would love a clear floor 2 post hoist in my workshop but I just don't have enough roof height

Cheers

Lightbulb low height clear floor.

Hey Mike i was going to set my old repco hoist down in the floor so it worked like a clear floor type with out the height only problem is i am 5'7" and you not so you might get bit neck cramp working under the car. you would still get it to a good working height. might be worth a look mike they are cheap sold my last one for $1500 . new cost 4400. but worth every cent.

I know where Mr. Parsons wants me to stick it.....I'll get the grease gun Cameron...you go wash your hands, and clip ya nails!!

As far as the topless waitress or "stripper" idea...it's already been addressed.

My two boys ( Egg one and Egg two) and their drop kick mates are all making plans for a ware- housewarming party...to definitely include strippers.

The redhead has declared ...."No problem ...have a stripper...just as long as he's good looking"

Negotiations to continue!!

Maybe a trannie !!??...keep everone happy !!??naah.

That's almost worth finding an el-cheapo air-carrier air fare and flocking in for a one hundred way too many somethings to help celebrate!
