Default Road / Workshop time over Easter

How many of you took advantage of the 4-day Easter weekend and racked up some Cobra time on the road or in the workshop?

I was lucky enough to get quite a bit of both thanks to some flawless Melbourne weather.

Still awaiting repairs to be kicked off, so have taken the opportunity to boost the brownie points with work around the house.

Got the begginings of my new pergola finished over the weekend though. However I'm not sure if I'll get it all finished before the car comes back.

Guess I had better work on this to make sure I've a clean slate to get on with the car when it is back!!

Had visitors but managed the Drags at Willowbank on Good Friday....HUGE Night,
and on Sunday, took my mate up to the rain forests and waterfalls at Springbrook, in the hinterland behind the Gold Coast.

It's about an 80 kilometre trip,up and down and around some very winding roads, with him kakking himself all the way....loved it!

Hope everyone had a good and safe Easter.

Regards,

Warren.

I spent a fair bit of time in the garage, but as usuall did not manage to do everything I planned. I did find time to trim the boot, half the interior and almost got my quickjacks finished among other things.

Not enough hours in the day.

Ben

Brother had organised a few blokes from work to do a day @ winton so went along

Put in a few laps and had a good time
Most people there were happy to chat - the car generated a bit of interest & I overheard several complimentary comments from the bike riders on the note from the cobra - while watching it circulate

Slowy: Hope the car is back on the road again soon. Luckily the pergola keeps you occupied AND is a deposit in the brownie-point account

Wazza: The Gold Coast hinterland sounds like a perfect place for a cruise. Love those Qld waterfalls. I was holidaying in Cairns and the Atherton tablelands around the time that Cyclone Larry hit a couple of years back, so there was a fair bit of water flowing during that trip!! Got some handy waterfall pics from that trip, but not too much of the sunny Qld beaches.

Luckily (or unluckily), I wasn't in a Cobra for that holiday.

Beejay: I know the feeling. I struggle to get half of what I plan done in a weekend, even a 4 day weekend and with less lofty ambitions than yours. I'd be pretty happy to accomplish in a week what you did in 4 days!
But did you get out to the MCG and watch the Hawks smash the hapless Dees??? I managed to squeeze that in amongst the Cobra time. What a sweet weekend!

LoBelly: Ahh.... you managed a new criteria that I hadn't stipulated in my email..... TRACK TIME!!! Looks like you and Wazza both trumped me! Next Easter I'll have to put "drag racing" and "circuit racing" in the list of poll options. They're right. The yellow terror does have a distinctive growl!!
