Can't wait!
First time for me and I'm really looking forward to it!
Cameron Parsons has kindly offered me a lift up there, so even the trip up will be a blast!
I was really, really tempted to bring my new SPF, but I'm not sure it will registered by then...I'm confident it will be completed & running, but the timing of the registration process is a big unknown for me!
Regards......Paul

I am planning on being there, I doubt that my car will be registered, so this may well put me in the race class, oh well.
Cant yet guarantee I will be there, but I am trying.
I would just like some sort of confirmation as to what class I would be in, as I dont plan on buying a race suit just yet.

We (Queensland) look like getting around 23 cars competing, and about 50 plus people making the trip.
Sooooo looking forward to it already.
Our "Tour Manager" Brett Hughes and I have been talking a lot about it, and he's been busy making a lot of arrangements in the last couple of days.
Should be asking for confirmations from all the interested parties very soon.
A lot of cars getting rushed along so they'll be ready for the trip, and very happy to report that we have quite a few "National Virgins" this year.
Bring it on !
Regards,
Warren.

Closer than we think
Not too far away and I can't wait.
Nothing new unless you count stone chips and scratches.
I have had my interior redone professionally , nothing exotic just excellent workmanship with the traditional look.
We have a chance this friday to have a run at Wakefield to see how the new surface feels, weather permitting.
The Queen is a different story, maybe she will run her Mustang in the "others" class, out of Queen contention but I think that may be the idea.
It would be good to have the car to myself this time, in all the years I have been going to the nationals I have never been the only driver.
Phil

I'm really looking forward to it as well.
Both John & I are going.
It's going to be a real squeeze to go this year as both John & I have to leave on the Tuesday morning after the Nationals for the USA. So it means we will likely by leaving cars, trailers and tow vehicles in Sydney.
So the Queen might be racing the mustang and out of contention.
I wonder what the King will race, his Cobra or the GT40. If he races the GT40 he won't be contention either.
The Cobra is also much faster on the track this year, so it might be good news for a few of the contenders if it doesn't come.
I'm certainly looking forward to a few RCR cars at the Nationals this year. And financially supporting the event, which myself and my family have got a lot of enjoyment out of over the years.
Sounds like a very interesting year.

eye candy
Craig,
I am looking forward to seeing the RCR cars in the flesh, don't worry I have no money left as I now own 2 split screen Kombies...long story.
Are the cars going to compete or are they just on display?
Phil

I should have at least 3 x RCR's ready for track work by then. All owned by club members, so hopefully they will take them to the Nats.
I could have more if the owners build them fast enough, which is possible as they are relatively quick to build.
Hoping to also bring down an SL-C, but I expect it will be display only, but you never know.
2 x split screen Kombi's. Man, I would be happy with one.
Bring on the Nats.

Craig,
I'll be there with Old Faithful... She'll be getting her 'hopefully' twice a year outing from the nursing home.
Looking forward to seeing the RCR product... Do you accept Reminbi?

Cameron, no problem with Reminbi, although you are going to need a lot of Reminbi. Just bring it in a sack.
Stiffy, Daytona...very cool.

It Will Be Touch And Go.
Don't fall over Phil, but Neil reckons my car should be finished by this coming October. No promises made and no dates mentioned. Just hope it will be before the 2nd.
I'm glad that you are impressed with your trim job as I feel partially responsible for your choice of tradesman.

Sideshow, just in case you don't have the details still handy. I have sent you a PM with Don's email address to organise Nationals sponsorship.
Be great to catch up, I'll keep an eye out for you.

I guess it's back to bugs and grubs for breakky!

Do a good job on that loom from Neil, Sideshow.
I think it's mine.

yes its yours baz
we did more research and found holden sent you the wrong loom
they sent u the vz l76 auto harness wic uses a seperate auto ecu that sits in left hand kick panel
so we have ordered a new loom for the ve l98 6 speed with tip tronic and i can swap it
this loom has the auto ecu inside the gbox so the loom has a big plug going into the back of the gbox
luckily we have the dvd for the ve and have all the latest info
we just have to sort out the plugs that go into the tip tronic shifter
we have figured out how to get cruise to work pretty easily if u want too
but ive been speaking to neil abit in past 2 weeks
and will go speak to him in person and work afew things out cause we have started designing full body looms for cobras and will look into other kit cars too
and want to see what neil things and want to work together with outher shops
anyway your loom is in good hands heheheheheheh

Hey Man,
Don't go too far overboard Sideshow. Cruise Control in a Cobra? Fair suck of the sav.
I'll think about it. Sure would be a one off.
THINKING - THINKING - THINKING - THINKING - THINKING - THINKING!!!!!
Now that I've given it a bit more thought, it mightn't be such a bad idea after all, especially if it's not TOO much trouble. I'm not keen on having another control on the steering column, other than the indicator arm. Maybe the cruise could be incorporated into the indicator arm or vice versa.
Who knows. You guys are the experts.
Baz.
