How long did it take to build your Cobra?

It took me about 15 seconds to write out a big check for a small key ... then I drove it home.

took me alot longer to write the check, big checks need good penmanship.

To beat the changing ADR requirement, and due to the late delivery of the body and chassis, we had our Cobra doing it high speed brake tests at Oran park in 6 weeks.

It was all preped though all the parts were ready engine wheels etc when the chassis arrived.

The car was fully engineered in about 3 months.

However the car was assembled to satisfy the engineeer, nothing more but possibly a few things less.

It then took 4 years to build it how I wanted it, but I did get to drive it while the rebuild was on.

I have a bit over 400 man-hours - not counting paint in my Lone Star.

That number is a bit deceiving as I participated in the Vacation Home Build where a factory representative comes to your house and stays a week with you to get most of the car together.

From nothing to driving around the block in 7 days!

The professional factory assistanace cannot be overemphasized.
