Default Getting closer to start

Got the K&N filter in, and recon it looks the biz,

Just need some advice though..............Do you think I need something else in the engine bay with "COBRA" written on it.

Fuel tank is just about finished, Bosch pump......just got to get the mounts welded to the tank, install the fuel level sender and I'm almost ready for startup.........

Its looking real good there.
I was chatting to a mate in Darwin this morning, he was whingeing that it is cold, something about 29 degrees.
When I drove my Cobra to work this morning it was officially minus 2.5 but it was actually (by my gauge in shed) minus 4.5
My hands where hurting by the time I arrived at work.

Default What a feeling......

Hogster,

Maybe COBRA on the oil breather?????

I started my car this week also (I was the second person) its a great feeling. I think it's one of the best motivators you can get to finish the car.

I just wish I was there for the birth,,, I mean start....

its all down hill form here.......

I'm also guilty of having the whole cast finned Cobra set(air filter, rocker cover & sump).

Hogster, looking good. Should breath well with that sizeable K & N filter. I've got the shorty version myself.

Does that sump bolt straight on to the 302 (89-93)? Also where is the best place to find it?

Merv

Hi Merv and Sharon,
the cobra sump is available for most Ford motors including the 302. Most of the Cobra suppliers have them in their catalogues including Finishline in Florida, Cobra Restorers in Georgia and Cobranda in Pennsylvania.

Regards.
