Have a look at POR-15 'Glisten' It's supposed to stick to polished aluminium

Good luck with the build, guys -- its a great project and when done, is a great cruising car
We've track tested "pumpkin" at Wakefield and QR -- definitely thumbs up, exceptional handling even in the wet

I had a look at John's Boss540 on Sunday arvo and was very impressed with how much room the car has and how it looks in real life...

I am going to linish up all the welds before painting the chassis mercury silver
The aluminium needs something done with it or it will tarn off and look very ordinary down the track

Just a question to the guys building these at the moment, are they classed as an ICV or is there a different classification along the lines of "rebody" "Reshell" type thing?

I am asking for a mate who has one and is not too sure regarding teh rego side of it.

Thanks in advance.

I think it is classed as an ICV. Even the Rhino offroad vehicle which is a nissan patrol with a diiferent steel body is classed as a ICV(in Qld at least).

Pictures will not be a problem, but the car has not been started on yet.
I am trying to get him motivated and will be going around to his place often with my car , to get him going on it.
He said hearing me come around the corner will get him going.
I also have offered to help him get it done, (he did do the body harness in my car for me) so after ShelbyFest will be calling around for a few hours most nights after work.
He has been laid up with sore back and a hernia in 2009.
