Jag MK 2 headlight switch wiring.
I am fitting a Jag MK 2 headlight switch into my dash (for the old race car look) and am wondering if anyone has fitted one before?
I am wondering if anyone can tell me what terminals to connect which wire?
I will have a play this weekend with a multi meter but thought I would ask here incase someone can give me a heads up before I start checking.

Is it a Lucas switch? Does it have number on it? If so then Lucas have a great 'site that shows the poles on each switch position for all their switches. I also have these.

Yes it is a Lucas switch and there are numbers on the poles.
Do you have a link to the site?

Thanks for the link Merv, Unfortunatly It does not show my switch, the nearest thing is on page 33 this being a 2 or 3 position rotary switch.
But the numbers on the back of my switch are 1,1,2,4,8,10.
There is a resister between the first 1 and the 2 post, the second 1 looks like it has never had any wires on it as the screw head is still dusty, all the other screw heads look like they have had a screwdriver in them.
Also terminals numbered 4 & 8 are posts with nuts fitted.

The switch is from a Mark 2, which is early sixties I think.
I have checked with multi meter and worked it out.
Thanks again.
