Mmmmmm! Kirkhams in Australia
Hi All,
The first Kirkhams have arrived at RMC in Western Australia, they are both brushed and polished and have stainless steel chassis.

Better hurry if you're going to buy something from the US ,the dollar is dropping fast with today's rate of 87cents.

I've recently arrived from the UK where I was researching into getting a Kirkham slabside 289 before I emigrated. Having read a few posts on here it seems that registering a car in Aus can be a real hassle with ADR's etc.
What I'd like to know is what are the chances of registering a RHD Kirkham with a 302 engine in NSW? In the UK I was looking at getting a turnkey minus from the States and having someone local to complete it.
Also are RCM the sole agents for Kirkham and so do you have to go via them?
Sorry for all the questions but new to the forum and country! Any help much appreciated.
PS I saw a Cobra in the Hunter Valley on Sunday, anyone's on here? It looked White with Blue Stripes?

G'day
Hey MAXIMUS,
The importer is RMC not RCM.
RCM is a kit supplier from Victoria (we are experiencing similar weather to the UK at the moment).
You are right the ADR'S and rego is quite tough better to speak to someone local.
GOOD LUCK

Absolutely gorgeous, can you imagine what an engineer is gonna say about that polished one.
After all, it wasn't long ago we weren't allowed chrome bezels on our instruments and had to tape up our windscreen surrounds.
Very nice tho...but I'll wait for an alum coupe so I can be lighter and faster than that stiffy fella.

Kirkhams are being imported by R.M.C in Perth Western Austrailia, not R.C.M which is a different Company altogether.

Hey rollinggeorge,
You reckon we're humorous. Watching a U.S. show on the tele recently featuring that emortal comedian, George Burns.
George went to the doctors for his check-up on his 90th Birthday. The Dr., said, "George. You should be careful of sex at your age. It could be fatal." George replied, " Doc. If they die, they die."
Same man, 10 years later. His mate says, "Hey George. What's you Doctor say about you smokin those big cigars?" George responds, "My Doctors dead."
Now that's humourous and that's American. Don't put yourself down man. You live in a fabulous Country. God bless America, the land of the free with no R.T.A. ( Roads and Traffic Authority).
