Default Elvis Cobra

Interesting bit of googling I did today. I vaguely remembered an Elvis Presley movie which featured a Cobra and Elvis was a part time race driver. So today I did some googling and came up with the movie title "Spinout"

Any way a bit more surfing around and I found the very car is up for sale.

Very coincidental for a car that is 43 years old!!!

I wonder if the fact that the car was written off and later the body and chassis were replaced will be offset by the fact is was driven by The King, in terms of the price it achieves at auction.

In 1985 George Stauffer purchased the MSO and various parts to 3012, and had Brain Angliss of AutoKraft in England rebuild the car utilizing a new chassis and aluminum bodywork.
I would think that CSX3012 is really a replica of an original after both the frame and body was replaced.

But it will still probably sell for some obscenely high price, due to its history.
