Smile Need some Aussie help

This coming year we plan to execute a plan that I have had for many years. We want to spend about two months in Sidney and tour the nearby area via automobile.

Can anyone recommend a rental agency that would rent me a two bedroom condo in a desirable area for two months? Also we would be needing a two month rental on an automobile. We would need one that seats four.

Also what is the best time of year to be in Sidney, weatherwise?

When you say a "desirable area" do you like the ocean or the mountains?

Do you like summer or winter? (my favourite is from now until April - Spring Summer and Autumn)It never seems to rain in Sydney too often so thats not really a problem, weather wise anyway!

A little more info

I think the best time in Sydney (note spelling: could limit your search results!) is Spring: September to December and Autumn: March to May. Summer can be pretty hot and humid.
I'd stay close to the city and the beaches.
Check out www.stayz.com.au for housing options.
I'll rent you a cobra if you like

Default What a deal!

April and May would look to be our choice. We live on the water here in South Carolina so I guess we would gravitate more toward the city center and convenience as far a getting in and out for touring.

The Cobra would be great if we didn't have four people going. Wow - talk about high speed touring!

We actually have talked about buying a car for the two months that we would be there and then re-selling it as we leave. The problem with that is the licensing and insurance.

Sorry about the spelling! I know how to spell Sydney my fingers just automatically want to Sidney.

I am not sure why Sydney and not the North of Australia is your destination, but if you are set on Sydney for some perverse reason, then check out VRBO Australia (Vacation Rentals By Owner - we have used them all thu the USA and Europe and they are great value). Fully equipped and very comfortable: http://www.vrbo.com/vacation-rentals...south-wales#41

Hope you have a great time - then drive North!

Merv

Default Nelson Bay

Sydney has all the "tourist" stuff! but Oz has a lot more to offer than that, North / South and even West, you have to do what you think is best, but don't stay all your holiday in Sydney (try Newcastle and Nelson bay) . or try the other country of "Queensland" (next to Australia). Just a joke .

Steeler, that blue paint job in your avatar looks amazing. Do you have any larger photos? Also what are the colours? Thanks.

Oh yeah - the best place to stay in Sydney is... Melbourne!
