Thumbs up

Boy that sure brings back some memories
I had one the same colour combo when I lived in Canborough ! Every year about a month before rego check, I would spend most afternoons & every weekend welding up the rear floor with rust out panels etc. I *****ed about to a friend and he told me that every EJ & EH ute sold new had a built in clause in purchase contract that stated that each car came with rust he wasn't wrong, I reckon I had my share and most everyone else's as well :lol:
It went like stink but the brakes was fearsome in the extreme
Jump on 'em & next minute you were in the on-coming lane & the most of the time after you'd crapped youself, the thing made its way back to the curb on the left and you'd knocked off maybe.........15-20k's. I got outbraked by a granny in a corolla one day at a set of lights in Mawson, so I took it home and put disc's on the thing-it was a device-that being said, probably one of the most fun cars that I've owned

Here is the 150 series bull bar.

It is just the weight of the spotlights on constant vibration due to corrugations that it has fatigued and torn the alloy.

Couldn't make the drive to Hope Island CCCQ breakfast this morning as wife was sick, but I did get out for an hour to the All Ford Day at Maroochydore. Some nice cars and nice motors! Real GT40 and a Ford GT and a few local Cobras too. Many of the Bowden's cars were there.

This is the only other one I have Leigh. The paint contrast is easier to see in this one.

It was a nice combo - 'less is more' philosophy.

A politician sees his family everyday, a deployed soldier once in 6 months. A politician flies 1st class; a soldier flies in a C130. A politicians pension is not reduced; a soldier's is clawed 65%. A politician enjoys an expense account; a soldier must justify extra rations. A politician vows to defend their country;a soldier actually keeps that promise.

Amen to that

Makes you wonder if we had a law that made it compulsory that when a conflict between nations starts, its the pollies who have to fight the fight-no words, just send them out onto the 2 way firing range and we go in and clean up what's left. Anyone wounded is summarily despatched without ceremony or anything.

Wonder if we could get the greens to put that up in the Parliment

On the money Rog. I always thought that when John Howard decided, against the views of most Australians, to send our troops to Iraq that he should send his son first, and that goes for all leaders who make such decisions. I am sure they would think twice.

Garfield on the oil crisis

A lot of folks can't understand how we came

to have an oil shortage here in Australia .

~~~
Well, there's a very simple answer.
~~~

Nobody bothered to check the oil.

~~~
We just didn't know we were getting low.
~~~

The reason for that is purely geographical.

~~~
Our OIL is located in
~~~

Bass Strait

~~~
East Queensland Shale Fields
~~~

Canning Basin

~~~
Perth Basin
and
North-West Continental Shelf
~~~

Our DIPSTICKS are located in Canberra !!!

Any questions???

NO? I didn't think so.

Exclamation MOre on our pollies......

Peter Garrett (ex lead singer of Midnight Oil, now a Minister in the Labour Government of Australia)

PETER GARRETT IS DEFINITELY A COUPLE OF CANS SHORT OF A SLAB!
The Australian Government and the NSW Forestry Service were presenting an alternative to NSW sheep farmers for controlling the dingo population.

It seems that after years of the sheep farmers using the tried and true methods of shooting and/or trapping the predators, the Labour Government (Peter Garrett - Environmental Minister), the NSW Forestry Service and the Greens tree-huggers had a 'more humane' solution.

What they proposed was for the animals to be captured alive, the males would then be castrated and let loose again.

Therefore the population would be controlled.

This was ACTUALLY proposed to the NSW Sheep Farmers Association.

All of the sheep farmers thought about this amazing idea for a couple of minutes.

Finally, one of the old boys in the back of the conference room stood up, tipped his hat back and said, 'Mr Garrett, son, I don't think you understand our problem, 'those dingo's ain't f---ing our sheep, they're eatin' 'em.'

You should have been there to hear the roar of laughter as Mr Peter Garrett and the members of the NSW Forestry Service, the Greens and the other "tree huggers" left the meeting very "sheepishly".

This is one of the things wrong with this country, the Tree Huggers and Morons are running the circus! Jeeesus! Someone save us from these idiots.....
