Merv,

It's a Lambo colour....

PPG Code LAM210600

Because if you paint your car with a fast car color, it will indeed 'go faster' :JEKYLHYDE

Decision made! Two pics below show colour, but with reflections from surrounding greenery. Is really quite similar to the titanium range in other light environments.

Many thanks to all who helped here so much! I hope that this also helps some others.

Thanks for starting the thread Merv,
It's been great to see so many beautiful Cobras.
I think I need to have more than one so I can have a choice of colours :-)

Good Choice Merv,

If (when) I get to do a GT40, I will go that combo.

Send pics when it's painted.

Thanks Cameron and Ross. It is a tough decision and one that can't easily be changed. It was literally a toss-up between the VW Platinum Gray Metalic, the Lambo Titanium Metallic, the Viper Chrysler Viper Steel Gray and the BWM Dark Silver! The Subaru Diamond Gray Metallic is also a great colour altho a fair bit darker. One has to match with carpets and seats in the decision of course.

Merv,

I suspect this does nothing to simplify your paint selection dilemma. The photo below is of SP01643. It originally belonged to Juan Lopez-Bonilla in Louisville, KY. I believe he has since sold it.

The Viper Steel Gray with Silver Stripes combination for some reason never took off popularity-wise with the SPF owners. For those of us who own one it is a particularly attractive attribute.

Colors not withstanding, I think perhaps the most compelling attribute of these cars is the tremendous personal satisfaction you obtain from just driving what is a custom replication of arguably one of the most famous automotive designs ever.

Did I say they are fun to drive ...

Thanks again Ed. It is a great colour and I have a few more days and may yet change my mind!

best wishes,

Merv
