The Australian Contengency to R&G 2008
Well, I waited for Craig as long as I could for his posting of their experiences at R&G. So here goes with mine.
I gotta say that it was as good as it gets having Craig, John, and Kate at this years event was special. John may be an amatuer but a damn good one at that. In my opinion he done extremely well having never driven the track before nor a lefthand drive car on track. It was good stuff.
Here is the group all together.

Yep, that's our Craig, John and Kate but who is the evil lookin fella in the middle.
We all know that John can pedal a car and I did wonder how he would handle the left side of the car .... seems he handled it well.
He is gonna be flat out handling all the questions at the next brekky.

Hershal,
Thanks for posting the photos.
I had not seen your web site before - link at bottom of photos.
Some great photos of the Australian trip with Phillip Island photos and the helicopter ride.

Hi Sott,
That would be great if a whole bunch of you make it over. I think it's worth
the trip for sure.
The next R&G will be even bigger and better.

Hmm Sorry for the very late reply. Since my return from Run & Gun the RCR business has kept me extremely busy. Not enough time unfortunately to keep a good eye on the forums. Not that things have let up, it's already starting to heat up again for 2009. Not that I'm complaining.
Ah, the shirt incident. Hersh and I rolled up to the presentation dinner both wearing an Aussie 2001 Cobra Nationals shirt. Everyone though we were twins. Hersh of course was the younger, fitter looking twin though. I was the twin with the funny accent. I've got stacks of Cobra Nationals shirts and I can only imagine how many cobra shirts Hersh owns. So it was a million to one chance. We should have bought a lottery ticket after that.
Run & Gun was fantastic. Great bunch of guys, great cars, great event. It was especially great getting to finally meet Hersh in person. Thanks mate for making us all feel so welcome.
My brother John had an absolute ball driving the RCR SL-C and we all got back home safe and sound. Doesn't get much better than that.
If I can make the time, I'll be there again this year. Just wish it wasn't so close to the Aussie Cobra Nationals.
