Stiff,

A lot less trouble putting the cam in when the motor is on the rack that when it is in the car. I have been assured that I won't have any problems with emissions when the time comes.

Barry have you sat the seats in front of the roll bars to see if the roll bar centre is in the centre of the head rest? the roll bars look very close together.....which means the seats must be close together

Thanks for your interest AC460. My mistake. The roll bars are actually 2.5" diameter with 2" rear stays. I originally ordered 3" from RMC, but have now established that they can't successfully bend the 3" tube without it kinking severely. 2.5" were as thick as I could get and I'm really happy with them. The seats positions have been checked and fit in with the roll bar centres perfectly.I will be posting some more photos shortly.

A helpful hint for anyone installing Roll Bar Rear Stays. After the hoops have been positioned, secure a torch inside a section of rubber hose and push that hose up onto the point where the Rear Stay joins onto the Roll Bar Hoop. The light from the torch indicates the exact point where the holes are to be cut through the body for the Rear Stays to be attached to the chassis. You can see this better in the above photo.

Looking good Baz, it's good to see someone has time to work on their car!

Not sure if the tiptronic is the same as my BF has but playing with it a few times now in manual selection mode, I'm thankful for the electronic limiter to remind me to change gears after giving it a bootful in first.

I keep on forgetting it's just not like a manual with a clutch which is the reminder to change gears to me anyway.
