Yes there's a ton of if's. Without the if's I would have not a chance of reaching a conclusion!! (not that I have anyway!) 
But if 'it' were all about quality, then a Lexus or Audi would be worth way more than a Ferrari or Maserati. (given they have improved in recent years)
tis a strange world we live in. Look at the price of Oil....
