Do most of you guys use the lsd rear ends or is a non lsd rear end sufficent for a car that only going to be used as a weekend cruiser?

You do not need a posi, or even an independent rear for that matter, for "gentle weekend cruising." BUT, if you start showing off and get on her hard over a bumpy, dusty, curvy road you'll want a fully independent limited slip rear to keep you on the road, not off.;)

For a weekend cruiser a non LSD will be all you need.
If you want to lay 2 black lines when taking of then you need the LSD :)
And if going drag racing you will want LSD.

Nothing looks quite as stupid as a one-legged burn out -- unless you couple it with uncontrolled wheel hop.

Or just pull four of the plug wires. That'll keep you rear end from coming out from under you as well.

I'm just fitting a 9'' IRS and are using a Detroit True Trak it detects when one wheel loses traction and transmits the power to the other wheel. These things are the next step up from an LSD and not as irritating as a Detroit locker

I think Acecob used the right bait as he might have been the first one to hook a couple.

Mark has forgotten that Shelby went to Chev first and they knocked him back, so even the man who built these cars really wanted to put a chev in it, we simply carry out his wishes :)

Don't you start Dave. This is how the Cold War started. Khrushchev and Eisenhower were arguing about who had the biggest A-Bomb

Oh to have fallen so far...
From one who was once one of the blue oval's staunchest most one eyed supporters. To have pointed out that the chev came first...
Les I humbly offer my Vader mask and cloak to you. You are now the master.
