Have not removed numbers, 289 (see photo gallery), from last years
's Nationals for both the look and the relative number to my type of car. Was unfortunate to be pulled over by NSW Highway Patrol doing supposedly 13kph over limit. He didn't say a thing about the numbers. Fortunately remembered the first rule, switch off so he can't hear the exhaust. Have been passed and alongside various police and always get the thumbs up. Suppose it depends on which side of the bed they fell out of that day

I had never checked the legality, but had also 'heard' it was illegal to display race no's. I had them for many years and during the first couple had obscured them with a single strip of 2" race tape.

I got sick of explaining to all who asked 'what's the tape for mate?'

My main concern was not constable plod, but more so not giving the insurance company an out if I did bend it on the street.

I have had meatballs and vintage decals on my car for the last 3 years. When I am in Australia, I do drive the car a lot, and I have never had any issues. Just lot's of Thumbs Up

Just stick em on... They look great
