Default We have Ignition

Well after 2 1/2 years we finally turned the key and heard the wonderful sound of a ford V8 for the first time. After scratching my head for 3 day's trying to work out why it would not start my son suggested, maybe we should put some more fuel in had put about 10 L in but it was not enough. Thanks to Warwick for all his help it will be back down to him soon for final engineering and rego. I will try to post a video (or someone may do it for me) later today.

Cheers Greg

Well done Greg.

One of the major points in a build has just been ticked.

Well done Greg

I had that problem as well plus no 12V to the Injectors.

Great feeling.

Still a bit of work to do yet, 4 wheel alignment and suspension needs to be setup properly then back to Warwick for some tidy up work so still looking at 3 to 4 months.

Cheers Greg

Ha Ha My first start was at the Gas inspection mob. They told me to put some gas in the tank on the way over ( on the back of a truck ) and when I get there he will check for leaks and inspect for compliance ??? The 351 started straight up and leaked water from every hose. Once tightened and sealed the 'gas man' proceeded to inspect the set-up. he couldn't check the fuel line, the car was too low, he couldn't check the emissions because the electronic ignition was jamming the electronic sensing machine. So he passed it ! Ha ha ha. The first start is so nerve racking...I had an audience. There will be now many start-ups as visitors arrive. ENJOY !

Congratulations! Every time I see that another Cobra has come to life it inspires me, and probably others, to get my finger out, and do some more to get to that milestone! Thanks Greg. Keep them coming Guys. Peter

Fantastic, I nearly fell of my chair when the camera honed onto the engine bay and out popped not only a Ford but a supercharged Ford. What a surprise!
Great job.

Regards.

Greg

Beautiful looking build and a credit. Looks like a nice little setup in the
cobra garage there, love the floor tiles also.

Well done fitting all those Ford goodies under the bonnet.
