Boxy, Stiffy and Doc. Aren't they 3 of the 7 dwarfs?

They are in one of the movies I saw.
But I don't think we talk about them sort of movies here.

Default Joking

Boxhead,

I was only joking...

Had a mate go last year and thoroughly enjoyed the weekend.

It is on my BUCKET LIST to do, so is Le Mans, German GP, Monoco GP and Indy. There goes 2 Months and my next project....

Mmmmm sounds like the typical chronology - in chronological order..

Box followed by the Stiffy then the Doc.

Think I'll leave this alone....although it does have the making of a good movie..

Well, I spent all day yesterday (Friday) at Goodwood, truly is something that any car nut needs to go and see.
I will upload many pictures upon my return on or around the 13th July (first day back at work), if I have the time I will do it somewhere on the weekend of 11th 12th.

The weather has been great (have only had 1 wet day) got a round of golf in at StAndrews, managed to shoot 81 gross, My handicap is 9 so I was happy with that score even though I had 7 (I think) 3 putts, managed 2 birdies, 6 pars, 9 bogies and 1 double bogey.
This was all done with hire clubs and no practice or warm up with them.
I bought 6 balls (expecting to lose a few) but walked of with all 6 in hand.

Time for some happy snaps, sorry it has taken so long but has been busier at work than I thought it would be and still feeling a little run down.

Where do I start, well since this is after all a Cobra site I better start with the Cobra that was there.

This car was driven by Jack Sears, it is a 1964 model and is owned by Kevin Kivlochan (not sure on CSX number but I am sure someone here will let us all know)

I am hosting my pics here http://s270.photobucket.com/albums/j...odwood%202009/ If you want to see what I have uploaded, this is not all my pics, I have not uploaded any of the rally cars etc.
If there is any pic you want in full size just pm me and I will email to you.

Saw this in a shop, tried to buy it but this was the last one and it was already spoken for, I did get a business card so will order one when things have settled down a little.

Here are some random pics.

T163 Lola 1969 first one delivered new.

This was the first car I saw as I walked into the pit area from the main entrance.

This is a 1968 Howmet TX, it runs a Helicopter Gas/Turbine engine, it competed at Daytona, Sebring and LeMans but failed to finish each race.

This is a 1970 build March 707.

Here is a 1984 Lancia LC2

Here is a Jaguar XJ13 built in 1965.
It is a fantastic looking car.

Here is an Aston Martin DBR1.
Another beutiful car.

Another stunner wa sthis 1953 C Type Jaguar.

Here is an X works car, 1956 D Type Jaguar.

I am pretty sure this is an Aston Martin DB3 (is a different color in the official entry list)
This car although in my opinion not th eprettiest car there, was by far the best finished car I saw.

I made my way into the Bonhams auction tent (after the action was over - would hate to get caught out scratching my head at th ewrong time).

I have mentioned on numerous times my love of the Lamborghini Miura SV, well there was one for sale, so it was a good thing I was too late for the auction, it was even in one of my prefered colors.
You Shelby freaks will probably notice the blue things on either side of it.

Here is the back of that Mustang.

Here is a Mercedes Gullwing, stunningly beautiful car.

Most of you also know my stepfather owns an x works BMC cooper S mini. There was one for sale at the auction, this one is fairly famous in that it won the 1968 Monte Carlo but was disqualified after the scrutineers spent 8 hours inspecting the car and Dq'd it for "headlight irregularities".
The owner was restoring it but sadly he passed away earlier this year.
This car sold for 55000 pounds

This is the second car for sale, the same fella owned both, I am not sure if this one sold, but when I asked the lady behind the counter she mentioned 55000 pounds, I see that was below the etimate, so not sure if it was passed in or not.

A nice Jag for sale, with just another Ferrari beside it.

And a little Beamer.
