Default Off to the trimmers

What a day I've had. The roll bars, dash, steering wheel and seats were positioned into the car and it was loaded onto a Tilt Tray for it's 20 klm journey to the trimmers. I followed in my tin top and was really surprised to see the behaviour of other motorists.

One half-wit driving an AMG Merc Coupe was driving alongside it, behind it, in front of it and would have been under it if he could fit. At the same time, he was hanging out the side taking photos with one hand and steering with the other. That was until he mounted the median and scrapped the under-carriage severely for about 20 metres. Sparks and grinding sounds coming from under the car. Sounded expensive. At another location where a Service Station is being renovated, all the workers ran out onto the footpath to look when the Tilt Tray stopped at a red light.

Does this happen every time you take a Cobra out onto the road?

At any rate, here are a couple of pics to celebrate the occasion.

Are those tilt tray trucks expensive?

Baz - plenty to be proud of there once again!

Are the front wheel arches flared and are the side mirrors going to stay?

Jeez Baz no wonder every one was looking.
Looks a great package. Everything blends so well together. Hope the trimmer turns out well for you. Great feeling to sit in it with the smell of new leather.
I remember the last time I had mine on the trailer it was bloody raining.

Thanks for the compliments guys. I'm over the moon at the moment.

Answers to a few questions:-

Merv:- Tilt Tray Transport:- About $4 per klm.

Tabey25:- Two to three weeks at the trimmers:- A firm promise. Good luck with yours though.

Sambo:- Front guards aren't flared. That's how RMC do their bodies. Go easy on my mirrors. I like them. I am not a fan of bullet mirrors and wanted to replicate the shape of the windscreen. Tha'ts the good thing about having a dream come true. I've had 45 years to think and plan my car and this is exactly what I want.

The end is in sight. Engineering next.
Thanks again... Baz
