Default Common wheel offset

Hi all,

I am in the process of cutting down my Jag rear end and trying to decide what offset to do it for.

My last car that i had used an offset of +20mm and limited my wheel choice to only a hand full of options.

I have decided on a wheel size of 17x10 for the rear, most likely with a 315 tyre. Now i know the ideal situation would be for me to run out and buy my wheels now so that i can cut it to fit, but the member for war and finance (aka my current wife) has confiscated my wallet for a couple of weeks to get over the recent purchase of my kit and suspension. Plus i will probably change my mind on style by the time the car is finished.

Is there a common offset for a deep dish 17x10 wheel that those who have purchased wheels are aware of? I dont intend to go with the original style wheel, most likely something deep dish and shiny (eg dragway).

Cheers,
Liam

I think to an extent you've answered your own question.

Go forth and research what it is you exactly want, then you'll know the offset needed, particularly if you're not going halibrand replica.

Unless the guys here are running exactly what you want, I seriously doubt any comment on offset is going to satisfy your need.

Might give you some ideas, but first lock onto what it is you want then cut to suit.

Good luck.

Steve

Thanks,

I have looked around on the net and found that a lot of them dont specify the offsets and most sites want you to put in a car make first. I have found a few wheels i like that range from 0 - 45. I might drop in to my local wheel shop over the weekend and see if they can provide some brochures.
