now realise that all the guys who have workshops stay right away from forums because
its where people try to get help and info for doing things themselves and always want to buy things 2nd hand or on the cheap
You are 100% correct!!!! I know a few builders and suppliers THAT have learnt to stay away from this site. They have been burnt in the past
just the way I feel you have been treated.

Alot of Cobra owners want things for nothing, they want FREE ADVICE and then complain that they listened to the wrong person when things didn't work out. What they forget is that people run businesses and FREE advice is taking money away from them. Thats where I agree with Philm and the like. Advertise your business on CC, the Cobra fraternity is quite small and word of mouth is worth alot more than an add on CC.

Sideshow wired my Chev harness ( via John C) a fantastic job, right price and IT WORKED first time. I wouldn't get him to write a speach, But I wouldn't get me to mind your 18 year old daughter either

Everyone has their strenght in life/business. I think we should educate potential Cobra builders what the TRUE price of building a nice car is. Not give them the wrong idea that they can get a NICE car on the road painted for under $70-80k.

Default What it is all about

Advice taken,
Just unloaded the cobra off the trailer, took her to the drags last night.

Could resist, went for a nice 30min drive arround beautifull Silverdale.

BTW, I wish I was a tightass Cobra owner.

Phil

More than happy to do that speech for you Stiff. Who's the audience? Not that Year 10 career guidance talk at the local girls school again?
Any paint on that weapon of yours?

Default Dr Dr

Rich,

No paint as yet, engine bay SHOULD BE IN HIFILL by now.

I am out of action for a while, so I cannot do my weekend work ( yes, before the jokes come, getting lunch, coffee, milk, sweeping the floor) it all adds up you know.....

Christmas is the deadline, its back to a million parts and the garage staarts next week. Its hard enough to do stuff when you are able, let alone on 1 leg and a dodgy wheel chair,,,
