Default dipstick

I bought the project part way done.
The car has a FMS crate motor, and the oil dipstick is generic with no markings. The oil pan looks mostly stock and made of sheetmetal .

My question is how do I know how much oil to add, and how to mark the dipstick?

Thanks, Jim

Pretty easy, drain the pan, add a known quantity of oil, mark the dipstick accordingly. Even if the stick had been marked, it's good to check it anyway, have seen a couple of occasions where the supplied, and marked dipstick, was wrong! Go figure.

Cheers, Bob

You can double check how much oil your engine takes by looking it up on the FMS website. That way you can also visually compare oil pans.
