Thanks for taking the time Kevin. This is a big jump from 1/4 scale sprints to full scale cobras. It's going to be fun.

Hi Larry,
I have been looking at your pics and info. That has been a big help. Great job of documenting your build. You should write a manual. Lol!

Yep, full scale is a bit,...larger & more expensive. (I think) lol
1/4 scale sprint cars are a riot, but the Cobras are the funniest to build & drive. Like I mentioned, we also race the full size winged sprints and sometimes i have a hard decision on what's more fun.

Have you decided on the color yet ?

Did you look at the Team III wheels ?

Mine are the half polished.

ET Wheels by Team III Wheels

If you're interested, we make our own highly polished, 304 stainless steel side pipes as a kit. There expensive, but you'll never go back to coated mild steel. We can chat details.

Sorry Kev...I haven't been on here much lately. My wife had me volunteered putting up Christmas decorations all weekend. She is happy now...so back to the cobra.

I really like the Team III wheels. I think that is what I am going with as well. My colors at the moment is going to be redline red with black stripes. I had looked at the burnt orange but I just can't get away from red. Red's my color.

I wondered if anyone made stainless pipes. I am interested but it will be quite some time before I am ready for pipes.

No problem bud, we use a nuclear reactor for our Christmas display. lol

I like the quality of the Team III wheels, the 2-piece adapter that covers the lugs, numerous back spacing options etc.... You can also them not polished, half polished or full polish, plus the customer care is fantastic.

You can't go wrong with red. It's ironic that it's my favorite color, but custom mixed mine blue. lol

Don't worry about the pipes, I'll always have them. Whether their mine or someone else's, you'll love the stainless for beauty, sound and less maintenance. Their a much deeper tone than mild steel. You'll never,......go back !

GIVE ME A CALL ANYTIME ! (I really like chating with you, you're a good man and very excited about building your Cobra)!

I finished my tranny cross member. I have a few picks added. I can't get anything to post here. Here is a link to the crossmember I machined this weekend.
