Default Radiator Overflow Tank

Hi Guys,

Any suggestions for an overflow tank for the B & B Radiator?? Right now the ground is my overflow tank. Not exactly environmentally correct.

Thanks

I got mine, along with a lot of other pieces, from here:

Billet Specialties

They have 3 different sizes in two different styles.

They shipped quickly and their parts look good. If not these guys, then Summit is definitely a place to look. Any local speed shop should be able to set you up.

I'll take a pic of my setup tonight. I bought a Moroso billet 1.25 quart tank from Summit. The overflow from the radiator goes down to the bottom inlet on the Moroso. This was as vacuum is increased, the radiator can suck from the bottom of the overflow tank back into the radiator. I do have an overflow going from the cap of the expansion tank to the ground in case of massive overflow but you need to remove the lower gasket off of the cap on the expansion tank. A closed system can only have one cap (being the radiator in this case) that sustains the proper pressure of the system.

Got mine from Summit. Mounted it to the rear of the front passenger side fender well. Just above the header. Jim

Plastic coolant recovery tank from Trak. $12 or so. Mounted near rad on drivers side fenderwell. As engine heats up, coolant goes into tank. As it cools down, coolant goes back into engine. Keeps air out of cooling system. Works well, cheap.

I got a real nice looking one made by Canton Racing Products. Its aluminum and rectangular so it mounts very easily. I purchased mine through Unique Cobras in Gadsden AL, 256-546-3708. The hose from the radiator goes in/out of the bottom so it sucks the fluid back into the radiator. I mounted mine to the front of the passenger foot box. http://www.cantonracingproducts.com/...tch_tanks.html
Mine is similar to product #80-210, but mine has a regular radiator cap on top so its easy to refill.
