Default Car Radio Speakers

Hi,

I was thinking of installing a radio in my B&B. I have read some other threads regarding this but I wanted to get some first hand experience from someone who has a B & B with a radio.

Where is the best place to install the radio?
Where is the best place to install speakers?
What size speakers did you use?

Thanks

Jim

Default Radio (((JAM MAN)))

HEY JAMS! Do you have the Dash that goes down to meet the Tunnel? If so i put mine there bout 3 or 4 inches from the bottom on the dash perfect spot for it and i put the speakers right behind my right hand shoulder and one on the left side of the passenger shoulder perfect spot and went to Advance auto parts store picked up a flat antenna that fits bhind the dash you put that on the square tube support behind the dash you'll be happy withit. And also i used the 5.250 speakers.I will get pictures if you need them!Take care (greensnake) (Lonny)

i have been thinking about this too. get speakers that are separate woofer and tweeter components. go with 5.25 to 6" subs behind your head with a tweeter on the outside and then if you have space on the dash add a small 3-4" sub in dash on driver and pass side with tweeters mounted in corners. that would be my ideal set up. dont forget a small two channel amp mounted in trunk. just not enough power in a head unit to run speakers proparly. i have the same set up in my nissan and it has plenty of bass and highs for a low cost rig. dont need to jar any teeth free.
