i need to know if the supports go into the door hinge brackets and if so, how far
do i need to drill the chrome bracket for a second bolt?
how tight should the brackets be?
which bracket is left and right? i.e. do the screws go towards the front or the cockpit?
it is really a nice windshield and i dont want to break it .
thanks
tom

First of all don't tighten the screws to much. You are screwing into brass. The side brackets should mount only on one side so the the top of the bracket curves with the windshield. Yes you do need to drill another hole in the side frame of the windshield to mount to the body. If you need some pictures I can get some tomorrow. Anything else, I'll check in the morning and get some pictures. Jim

Thanks Jim,
i would appreciate the photos if they are not too much trouble. There was not a whole lot posted about windshields. At $765 it represents 5% of my total investment (302 motor version) and i dont want to break it. The 427 upgrade is going to cost me an extra 8 grand, for motor and incidentals, so that will be a year off at least, but I feel the extra money will come back if my family ever sell it when i die.

When you die?!?!?!? I need to talk to your wife. I told a couple recently that these cars are "ick magnets". When a guy drives it, it's a "chick magnet". When a woman drives it, it's a "d!ck magnet".

I know, I know. A penny for my thoughts and I give my 2 cents worth. I'M GETTIN' SCREWED!

Slow Dawg,
why no instructions on installing the winshield?
i was welding last night and set my pajamas on fire!
this project is going to go together fast once i finish the welding today.
i am still unsure about the cockpit. i may go with cutting the tranny cover in the clear, cause i know i will blow at least two world class t5 s before i upgrade to tremec 3550. (that's part of the 8 grand upgrade to 427)
i got my driveshaft yesterday, $170 included new u joints with grease fittings and a new rear seal on the snout.
the guy told me it will be ok with the 302 but with the 600hp 427 i will need a little more meat.
i have to teach donna how to drive my mustang today. a guy with SCCA drove it. stopped it and couldn't get it started again. it takes a little love, understanding and a kick in the butt to get it going.
i am working on my daughters jetta today. talk about a piece of junk, diesel and all.
tommy
