Default 428 in a LA Exotics??

I'm leaning towards getting and installing a 428CJ into my LAE next year sometime. Will it fit and what will I have to change?? I currently have a 351C and a T-5 with a Lakewood scatter shield. THANKS for the info, guys!!!

Talk to the guys at B & B. They have intimate knowledge of the LAE. Jay

I know they had different foot boxes for big blocks. I see you have a 351c. A 428 isn't much different in size than a Cleveland. Give Bryan a call at B+B and answer for sure!

OK, Bryan: can you please "chime in" with an answer to this question?? Will a 428CJ/SCJ fit in my LAE?? Do you folks have the stuff I'd need to swap a 428CJ in my car (I have a 351C in her right now - i.e. motor mounts, etc.). Will my T-5 tranny bolt up to the 428 or will I have to install a top loader?? THANKS for all the info and help!!!

Jim

My confieg is very much like yours and like you I originally had a SB in mine. I am now running a 427 in my B&B. Everything is very close but it fits.

If you are interested I have a 428 CJ block I had a sleve put in and had everything pressure tested and magna fluxed. The block is sound and is ready to go. My machinist has honed all cylinders to speck at 0.030 over. I also have six good TRW flat top pistons. $600.00 for everything. I also have the correct motor and frame mounts to go with your build.

Clois
