Default Carpet

While looking at the B&B photos of interiors, it looks like the carpet is made to fit the vehicle. All of the photos seem to be just alike. (Seam along the tunnel etc..) Did your kits come with a number of raw cut pieces of carpet that had to be bound together or did it come somewhat fitted with trimming needed? Also is the carpet on the trunk pieces the same as the passenger compartment?

The peices are rough cut and bound already. You simply trim the insulation/padding and carpet sections to fit and apply with spray adhesive (enjoy the good buzz). The trunk carpet is the same as the passenger. I think they are custom made by a small shop in Granby, MO so you might have options available to you.

Mine came in four separate pieces for the front of the car and are not bound together. The trunk carpet is a different kind and color than the front pieces but are attached to the board sections and seem to be in a finished set. If I understand you correctly, you had 1 formed piece for the front and all you had to do was to trim the edges of the carpet and glue in place. If this is the case I need to contact Barry and ask what happened.

The front was several peices. One for the trans tunnel, one large one for the back, a couple for the foot boxes, and the floor. They were all labeled as to where they went. Nice set, does not sound like what you are describing.

if b&b won't help you out i have a full interior kit the i would pawn off for pretty cheap if you are interestred. from what I remember all of the transmission tunnel was seamed and I have randon sticks of foam that are all labeled to go in certain places. Anyways I have the full kit from them and it has never been installed. It is all brand new from them, door panels and all.

Thanks for the responses. The way that mine came, I could buy the carpet I wanted and cut to fit and be better off I think. The carpet in the trunk panels look good but the other looks like general boat carpet very rouphly cut in 5 or 6 pieces that does not match the carpet on the trunk pieces.
I'm going to call B&B and see if there was some problem with this order.
By the way, what color is your interior kit and does it have seats and vinyl?

the interior kit that i have is all black with black vinyl seats, door panels, and side panels which run the lenght of the interior. the rest is all carpet inlcuding the transmission tunnel with the leather wrap for the e-brake sewn in. like i said if you can't think of anything else or worst case scenario i have the entire kit untouched including the trunk, door panels, side panels and seats if you are interested.
