Default Think twice about "custom" aluminum radiator from B&B

I have sent a laundry list of modifications to the "custom" aluminum radiator to B&B. I bought mine with the shroud and fan, so that may have complicated things, but in any event, I found it to be less than custom. I would think twice before shelling out the cash.

why are people changing the radiator on the B&Bs. are there a heating problem with the stock rad. I know I did have a hell of a time installing a fan. I had to space the rad. out at the bottom about 3/4" so it wouldnt hit the steering.

i did think the stock rad would cool 450 horses and not want to pay there price for the stock rad when i could get an alum one that cools better and looks great for $180 at summit. Now i wish i had ! these mounts are so stupid , it is driving me crazy. Any pics of posible solutions would be great!!!!!!!!!!!

Are you saying you have the Summit, or that you have the B&B? The mounts work OK, although I have concern on the stress that will be put on the upper mounts with the little bit of aluminum is there.

sorry my computer jumps around sometimes (words in the wrong order) i did not think the stock rad would cool 450 horses. I bought a Howe rad from summit and a fan off a t-bird. getting it to work is a real pain.

Most will fit but I had one made for me by a guy in New Jersey (Arts Radiator) and it was the best $450 I spent. Only a two core but the cores are a full 1" tubes and its a cross flow and I have never had heating problems once I got all the air out. Unfortunately, I don't think Art is still in business but there is a company in Arizona that I am told does a very good job too.

Default radiator

Posted this before, 24" aluminum off of ebay, minilmal bracket work, little welding, cost under $450. Tow fans and shroud all included.
