Default Sidepipes - Red Grommets???

Fellas....

When I ordered my sidepipes a few months ago they came with these red rubber/metal grommets. I'm guessing these somehow intersect where the back of the sidepipe gets bolted to the frame underneath the doors. What's the word on these?? Heat and Vibration??? Is there a proper way to install these?? Thanks

I thing it is primarily vibration. For my installation, I used a carriage bolt through the slotted side pipe hanger on the frame. I put the top peice without the metal washer on top of the bracket that is on the side pipe. I then put the bottom part on the bottom and tightened up. The trick is getting the the bottom nut to stay. I am tring a nylock washer this time. I may revert to two nuts tightened against each other as a jamb nut arrangement.

They are for vibration, exhaust flex, engine movement, frame flex etc... I used a nylon inserted nut and installed it like OhBuoy.

I used nylock nuts and a stainless bolt. I put the nulock on top and installed like OhBuoy, also.
