From the front of the round tube on the steel mounts to the rear of the K-member is 14 1/2" for both sides.

btw-Greensnakes sidepipes don't go down the sides of his car, he's got them going straight up like the Dodge Lil' Red Wagon Peecup.

Does the motor mount location depend on the motor (i.e. big block or small block)? You can probably tell I've never put a car together )

Greenies pipes do stand 6 feet up. He used to have them pointed forward and used them as curb feelers. He had to do something considering he can't see over the steering wheel.

boris, the mounts are all about, I think, within a half inch of each other. The main difference is the big block tubes are about 1 inch longer than the small blocks.

from what ive read to achieve close to 50 / 50 weight distribution we would have to mount the engine as far forward as possible .any body else read this ?

Looking for a solution.

The SPF are too short. Hmm sounds like Dawg was using them as a spatula to flip them possums. I would try to use some allen bolts will they work better?
