Lower radiator hose

Not that I'm ready for it yet... but is there any other way to route the lower radiator hose than underneath the frame? Has anyone come up with some kind of custom bracket(s) to get this hose out of harms way?

For a B&B, I think your stuck going under the frame. One innovative solution I saw in the forum was a manufactured pipe, rectangular in cross section, that was manufactured by the guys welder when the welder saw the hose under the frame. I assume it had at least the same cross sectional area as the hose. Since it was steel it was stronger than the hose and since it was wider than it was tall, it allowed more gound clearance.

Although not for a B & B, it will give you an idea of what can be done. This is how I did the bottom "Hose" on my much modified NAF.

I have seen a Unique with a hole drilled thru the 2 x 4 frame behind the radaitor and a 2" pipe installed. They used a couple of small stainless screws in each end of the pipe to help hold the hoses onto the pipe. I made a back to back 90 degree pipe out of two 1 1\2" copper elbows and a short piece of copper pipe. I silver solidered the pieces together and flared the ends so the hose would not slip off. This allow me to go up and over the frame piece and steering rack. A little black high temp. paint and it looks good.

I assume that you received the 2" metal lower radiator tube. This is how mine is, but it is still under the frame, in metal instead of rubber.
