I used the VDO GM sending unit # 226008 (0-90 ohms I think) that works well with the FARIA Gauges you may have gotten with your B&B. However, I got rid of those in favor of a full set of Autometer electric and mechanical gauges (oil pres, oil temp, & water temp).

Good luck.

I installed one from Centroid Products ($52 included the shipping). I haven't tried it yet... hope it works. No moving parts sounded good to me. I was concerned about the "fuel slosh" problems I've heard people talking about. They make senders for boats and RVs and said I shouldn't have any gauge fluctuation problems.

I use a racing fuel cell with a foam insert that prevents most sloshing. Over the last 5 or 6 years the unit has been flawless. I only ran out of gas once at 5:00 getting on the freeway (my fault not the gauges-trying to get to a speed shop for some 110).

This is from a previous post of mine: "Actually, I hate to say this so I don't jinx it, but after trouble with the original and the "tube type" sender, I bought the Auto Meter 3262 Univ Fuel Level Sender and it seems to be working well. I found the best price at Amazon.com. When I fill the tank, I get a gas smell in the trunk for a while. I think it's from the vent but the sending unit is one I would recommend for the time being."

I am still happy with the Auto Meter product and would recommend it.

Double check the ohm rating I believe 0-90 is incorrect for faria. The correct ohm rating is listed on another thread

thanks ,mine is 30 to 240ohms.with a lot of kussin and spitin i made the sender work . cut the float wire to 8 " and bent it up ,now with my first $ 65.00 fill up. it reads full. when it reads empty who knows what will happen. P.S. dont strip or spin the threaded ferrels in the plastic tank or you will be sorry.

Oh, the strip and spin on the ferrels. Been there and done that. I think I only have 2 of the original ones that work.
