High temp Sealer RTV in a tube (or something like that) Works great! No problems 4 years later.

I didn't use anything! I'm sure it leaks. I think it is sucking in air because I can get up to 4 foot flames out the exhaust on downshifts! Pull up to a ricer at night and get their attention! Jim

Bought high temp gasket material in a sheet at Napa and used the pipe to make a template. Then just cut it out with a hole saw and sissors.

Smile side pipe gasket

Red high temp RTV.
I bought a 2' x 2' sheet of .002" laminated aluminum .048" thick for $50 from McMaster-Carr. I made two gaskets and installed them using the red RTV. I'll let you know in a couple of weeks if it's better than just RTV. I've tried 2 or 3 gaskets over the years but the red RTV worked the best. I think the soft laminated aluminum will work.

See ya'll in Ohio in June!

I made some from gasket material that NAPA sells, then I had to remove the sidepipes to get them ceramic coated and didn't use anything when I put them back together. I can't tell the difference myself!

Permatex copper here. Had a slight leak last year, but I think that was due to some of the bolts backing off. Have to keep an eye on those.
