Wayne,
I had the speedo cable made by a speedometer shop. It is 68" long. It is still a little too long but way better than the 72" B&B supplies. My cable came loose from the mounting strap I used and got tangled up with the exhust header. The header won, but the cable froze and broke the clip that holds the drive gear inside the tramsmission. The cable will not come loose now! I put the extra slcak towards the rear instead of to the front.
I am using a 7 tooth drive gear and a 21 tooth driven gear on the cable.
I have 3.73 gears in the Ford 9" diff. The Faria speedo is 1 mile off at 50 mph and 3 off at 75 mph according the my Garmin. The speedometer shop charged me $44.00 for the vastly superior cable. I think the drive gears are $15 bucks and if you have your trams out, you may want to change to a 7 or better a 6 tooth drive gear (T5 type trans). If you have a numerically high number diff you won't be able to correct the mechanical speedo with and 8 tooth installed.

BTW, if you decide to have a cable made, I don't think I would go with a 60", but certainly a 64" may be just fine.
